Project- Wildfire
The aim with this project was to identify and in a creative way try to solve a problem that can be linked to the prevailing climate changes in today's society. The focus area became wildfirers as the global warming creates the right conditions for fires to occour more easily. From some reasearch about this problem it became clear that the human factor is the biggest cause to most of the wildfirers and one of the most common reason is when using campfires, grills or single use grills. The main focus therefore became to develope a safe and sustainable grill solution that can replace the single use grill.
The result of the project became a grill that has a fine filter to filter out embers that otherwise can get caught by the wind and ignite the surroundings. The grill also have legs to rise it from the ground and they also works as a choking system. It also have hatches to control the oxygen levels and the grill is made out of only two materials, aluminum and cork. The cork parts is used at the bottom of the grill and on the handles due to its isolating properties. The solution also consists of a PSS to make sure the grill will be used muliple times.
